Saori Shirahama (白浜 さおり Shirahama Saori) is the wife of Mototsugu Shirahama and the mother of Kenichi Shirahama and Honoka Shirahama.
Appearance[]
Saori is a fairly tall woman of slender frame yet is very curvaceous with a sizeable bust. She is fair-skinned with straight brown hair, and brown eyes. She is deceptively youthful-looking despite being middle-aged and is considered very attractive. Her hair shoulder-length and usually secured in a small ponytail with short short bang hanging between her eyes with the rest being chin-length yet curve outwards to hanging beside her face and also a few stranding hanging over her ears to frame her of her face.
She wears pink lipstick and usually seen wearing a plain yellow shirt with a purple long sleeve underneath with a short skirt just above her knees with stockings around her legs. She is also usually seen wearing a plain apron for chores. As a young teenager, she was considered very beautiful with a noticeable developed figure and she had waist-length brown hair.
Personality[]
Unlike Mototsugu Shirahama who is always acts in a goofy and over-protective manner, Saori is normally a calm and collected member of the Shirahama household who only gets worked up when her husband does something that annoys or embarrasses her. Whenever he gets too excited and tries to go to the Ryozanpaku Dojo with one of his shotguns, usually Sebastian, she is forced to subdue him in a comical manner.
However she often praises him whenever he does something fatherly, which is often because he usually breaks into tears after delivering an inspiring speech to Kenichi. But when it comes to her children, she supports them in anything they wish to do, such as when Kenichi wanted to move in to Ryozanpaku. She was a little worried, but she knew he had a reason for what he was doing and supported his decision. Saori is also kind and gentle when it comes to parenting and making sure they are safe, even telling Honoka to give Kenichi's masters a gift for good luck. When he tried to tell their children about how she gave him love letters when they were younger, she was angry, scratching her nails on the wall and giving a scary look, suggesting she can be quite threatening when she wishes. She even threatened to show their children that he was the one who actually gave her tons of love letters when they were younger. Despite this, she loves her husband very much, as she always calls him "anata".
Etymology[]
- Saori's surname Shirahama means "white" (白) (shira) and "beach, seashore" (浜) (hama).
Trivia[]
- Kenichi Shirahama and Honoka Shirahama seem to take more after Saori physically than they take after Mototsugu Shirahama as she has passed them down her brown hair color.
- In high school, her husband would write her love letters begging her to date him but when reciting the story to the kids, he reversed the roles only for Mototsugu to be by confronted by Saori who threatened to inform the kids with the embarrassing letters.
